Commercial Insurance Broker
Barker Munro recruitment, Insurance recruitment specialists, is delighted to be assisting this expanding independent broker who are looking to add to their commercial team with a proven Commercial Insurance Broker.
The commercial Insurance broker will be a key part of the growth plans for 2021 and beyond, working closely with the insurance team looking after the commercial insurance needs of the customer base, from initial quotation through to renewal and building long term customer relationships.
As the Commercial Insurance Broker, you will handle a variety of case sizes ranging from smaller SME risks to a number of £20k+ cases as well as some over £100k. You will discuss and advise client’s insurance needs and take ownership of their accounts. You will develop key relationships with the clients but also utilise the big footprint of clients in order to develop the business – the ability to account manage and spot new business opportunities is key. Also important is your ability to deal with lots of enquiries and clients at once and be able to advise these clients on their needs.
The business is a growing concern, with great scope for the future including acquisitions and bigger revenue targets; an ideal time for you to grow with the business.
We are seeking applications from candidates with a solid technical insurance background, predominantly in Commercial Insurance. As a Commercial Insurance Broker you will be able to demonstrate the ability to understand the business activities of clients and prospective clients and to identify suitable insurance solutions. Knowledge and awareness of Property owners or any commercial biased insurance is of interest. Candidates will have the ability to effectively conduct client meetings and to form good business relationships with both clients and insurers when required.
Qualities also seen as favourable would be good negotiation skills, the ability to work well under pressure and to be creative and innovative when it comes to Insurance cover.
You will need insurance knowledge of the majority of the classes of commercial business and have sound broking experience.
This is a genuinely well balanced organisation who, given the current economic climate, are looking to make strides forward in the insurance industry.
