Obviously we are currently living and working in very uncertain times, unprecedented in fact.

With the current issues surrounding Covid-19, our daily lives are ever changing and we do hope it has not had too much of an impact for you so far.

As a business, Barker Munro Recruitment is continuing to operate as normal, but of course, taking all necessary precautions both in the office and outside of it. We have also put protocols in place should things escalate to ensure that all our clients and candidates continue to receive the same high quality service you will have benefitted from in the past.

We are continuing to ask and check with candidates about recent travel and if they have recently suffered with any of the symptoms of COVID-19, and we will continue to do this.

We know interviewing candidates and on boarding new staff may currently be causing some difficulties for companies. Some of our clients have adopted the following methods to keep recruitment moving;

  • Meeting candidates as normal in their offices using the ‘No Handshake’ rule
  • Starting the interview process with telephone interviews, Skype Calls or WhatsApp calls as opposed to Face to Face meetings
  • Holding Face to Face meetings in hotel receptions which currently seem to be fairly quiet and often more spacious than interview rooms
