Application Support Technician

Barker Munro Recruitment are supporting this award winning UK insurance broking brand who are currently recruiting for a home based Application Support Technician reporting into the Central Project team.

Working within an established team you will be based remotely but will be comfortable with periodic travelling to support local offices as required. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical support knowledge, by working within a highly supportive and specialised team, who are committed to your career development.

To be considered for the Application Support Technician position, we are looking for a bright, personable, self-motivated individual for this role. You will have responsibility to deliver a highly personalised service to the end users. You will enjoy the challenge of managing the Transactor helpdesk whilst liaising with third parties to devise solutions, highlighting any opportunities or risks.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage the internal Transactor helpdesk, ensuring that items are logged and resolved in a timely, priority-based manner.
• Maintain accurate system configuration records.
• Ensure users are kept up to date throughout the duration of their queries.
• Maintain the helpdesk log and chase up outstanding items, as appropriate.
• Provide document maintenance across the Transactor document suite, creating new and modifying existing templates where required to meet the needs of the business.
• Update existing and create new schemes within Transactor following business requirements.
• Identify trends in items raised and assess whether they are the result of a wider issue, a training need or a development suggestion for Transactor.

Do you have?

• 2+ years of Transactor configuration and management
• Experience of building Transactor schemes
• 3+ years of customer interfacing experience
• Ability to translate technical requirements to the business
• Be confident dealing with varying levels of stakeholders
