About the Role
Claims Operations Manager
£70,000 – £80,000 + excellent benefits (depending on experience)
Location: North Yorkshire (Hybrid)
Barker Munro Recruitment is partnering with a leading insurance organisation to recruit an experienced Claims Operations Manager. This is a senior role overseeing the full motor claims notification journey—online, offline, and Third‑Party Intervention—while driving service excellence, operational performance, and commercial results.
What the role involves
Leading and developing the teams (around 90 FTE) to deliver excellent customer outcomes and strong financial performance.
Driving key change initiatives and delivering indemnity improvements valued at £30m annually.
Working with stakeholders to enhance digital notification journeys and increase online adoption.
Achieving strong commercial results by growing non‑risk income, reducing indemnity spend, and minimising leakage.
Creating a high‑performance, inclusive culture focused on engagement, development, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll need
Experience leading Claims teams, with a track record of delivering operational excellence.
Proven ability to manage budgets and support commercial targets.
Experience delivering successful change programmes in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
A strategic, commercially minded approach with the ability to innovate and make data‑driven decisions.
