About the Role
Client Account Handler – Commercial Insurance Support
Location: Dartford, Kent (Office-Based) Hours: 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday Salary: £38,000 – 50,000 Dependent on experience
Barker Munro Recruitment is seeking a proactive Client Account Handler to join a fast‑moving, client‑focused commercial insurance brokerage in Dartford. This role is ideal for someone organised, detail‑driven and keen to support both servicing and new business functions in a growing team.
This is an office‑based role; occasional home working may be available once established.
Role Purpose
To deliver high‑quality administrative and client support, ensuring efficient day‑to‑day servicing and helping the wider team keep renewals and new business moving quickly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Process MTAs and general servicing tasks, including documentation, endorsements, certificates, schedules and client communications
Support account executives with renewal preparation (data gathering, insurer chases, follow‑ups)
Handle incoming calls and emails, ensuring tasks progress with strong personal ownership
Maintain accurate records, system notes and clean documentation
Provide general office and administrative support within a growing business
Candidate requirements:
Commercial insurance handling experience
Strong administration ability and exceptional attention to detail
Confident, professional telephone manner
Organised, proactive and comfortable handling volume while maintaining control of priorities
Nice to Have:
Acturis experience
Interest in progressing within broking or pursuing professional qualifications (e.g., CII)
