About the Role
Insurance Underwriter
Barker Munro Recruitment, a leading Insurance recruitment agency in the Kent and surrounding regions, is working with a fantastic insurance company who are currently looking to add to their underwriting team with the appointment of a Fleet Underwriter.
As a Fleet Underwriter you will deliver on trading team targets through profitable underwriting of wheels-based risks which will contribute to the growth of the branch GWP. You will have a hybrid underwriting focus servicing existing brokers and targeting new business opportunities as part of your portfolio. You'll be able to build strong relationships with brokers and build a reputation as a regional underwriting expert.
To be considered for the position of Fleet Underwriter, you will ideally be able to demonstrate experience of underwriting wheels-based risks with the ability to trade with brokers in order to grow your book of business. Your knowledge and experience will have ideally come from an insurer background but there is a consideration that some kind of wheels/fleet based broking knowledge would also be a good knowledge base.
Another angle for the role is if you feel you have a couple of years underwriting knowledge and feel you are being held back in your current role and need support and guidance to take your fleet underwriting career to the next level, this could certainly be the role for you.
The company offer a very fluid way of working with home and office work fitting with your lifestyle. There is also a long list of benefits associated with the role along with a competitive salary and bonus available.
If you feel you have the relevant fleet or wheels insurance knowledge and background and are looking for a new opportunity for 2025 and beyond, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
