Barker Munro Recruitment has an opportunity for an experienced Broker to join an independent, innovative Insurance Broker who will offer you a superb career opportunity.
If you have been working in Personal lines and want to transfer into the world of Commercial broking or are looking to further your current commercial insurance knowledge, this is a superb opportunity. You will be given great training and will gain exposure to a wide range of SME Commercial risks which will skyrocket your career prospects.
The successful Account Handler will have responsibility for the servicing and quoting of multi faceted risks. The primary focus of this position is building broker relationships while delivering excellent service including coverage and service consultation and strong market knowledge. You will assist in all aspects of servicing and developing new and renewal business. There is a strong focus on Property both residential and commercial, placing property risks both individual and portfolio. You will produce revenue through cross-sales to new and existing clients and develop positive relationships with insurance company underwriters and representatives to effectively market new and renewal business.
This organisation will fund professional study so are keen to recruit individuals who want to continue/start their CII studies.
Applicants will have excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to handle pressure. You should have analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills plus excellent verbal and written communication skills. This organisation will suit highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic; able to work independently and with minimal supervision
This is an office based role, working 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
