Are you a skilled underwriter looking to take your career to the next level? Barker Munro is currently seeking experienced underwriters to join our team and take advantage of the exciting opportunities available in the London market.

As an underwriter, you will have the chance to work 2/3 days a week in London, with the potential to earn an average uplift of c £10,000 on your current salary. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career and increase your earning potential while still maintaining a healthy work-life balance..

Working in a friendly team who insure UK risks such as factories/warehouse/real estate/manufacturing/restaurants. With a focus on career development, you will have a good foundation knowledge of Property Insurance and understand the importance of assessing risk and the exposure. Starting with the Underwriting and case management of existing Corporate Property policies, handling the cases throughout the year and at renewal cycle, you will work effectively and collaboratively with the underwriting team towards profitable growth whilst building strong broker and client relationships. 

This client offers a unique opportunity where you will be empowered early on to make decisions, expand your knowledge and understanding as an underwriter and contribute to continued growth and success.   You will relish working in a challenging yet very exciting environment working closely with experienced and well respected Underwriters, Risk Engineers and Analysts who will support you along the way.  
You will possess a good grounding in Property Insurance, with the desire and ambition to truly progress your career.  Creating strong broker relationships will form a key part of your role and our client encourages and supports underwriters to be out in the market for renewal discussions.  As such strong communication and presentation skills along with a good level of organisation are key qualities.
